America Saves Week provides resources for financial well-being

UW–Madison employees are invited to learn about financial well-being during America Saves Week, April 7 through April 11. The campaign encourages everyone to check in on their finances by highlighting areas that contribute to financial stability such as saving automatically, preparing for unexpected expenses, and reducing debt. Live and on-demand webinars will be offered on topics such as budgeting, saving, financial crimes awareness and prevention, buying a first home, and investing with confidence. Most webinars require pre-registration. Credit check-ups and individual counseling sessions are available by appointment or with pre-registration. Registration deadline approaching for Administrative Professionals Conference

The Administrative Professionals Conference will take place on Wednesday, April 9, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Union South. The conference is designed for UW–Madison employees and others who would like to learn professional skills across a wide variety of topics, including career management, leadership, inclusive excellence, workplace skills, relationship building, communication, and well-being. Registration is due March 25. The $125 fee includes the keynote, workshops, continental breakfast, and lunch. Managers and supervisors are encouraged to approve requests from staff to attend the conference.

Workshop explores AI in teaching

The Center for Teaching, Learning & Mentoring is holding a workshop, Exploring AI in Teaching: Lessons Learned, on April 17, noon–1:30 p.m. via Zoom. A panel of instructors will share their experiences from this academic year using the growing array of generative AI tools in the classroom. This workshop is free and open to all who teach and support instruction at UW–Madison. Register to attend.

Volunteers sought to help with 2025 Undergraduate Symposium

UW–Madison students will be showcasing their undergraduate research, creative work, and scholarly pursuits at the 2025 Undergraduate Symposium on Friday, April 25, at Union South. Volunteers are needed to assist with registration, engage with poster displays, and provide general event support. All members of the campus community, including faculty and staff, are welcome to volunteer.
