Bus passes and specialty parking permits available

Employee bus passes and afternoon, night, moped and motorcycle permits for the 2018–2019 parking year are available for purchase beginning Aug. 1 through the Transportation Services eBusiness portal. You can also purchase a bus pass at one of the Transportation Services Offices: Room 124 in the WARF building, 610 Walnut St.; Room E004 in American Family Children’s Hospital, 1675 Highland Ave.; and Suite 1200 in 21 North Park St. Office hours are available online or by calling 608-263–6666. Student bus passes will be available through the Associated Students of Madison starting Aug. 28. Permit and bus pass details can be found on the Transportation Services website at

Nominations Open for Pringle Award

The Elizabeth S. Pringle Award recognizes UW–Madison employees with office support titles who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the university. Nominations are due Aug. 17. Any UW–Madison employee may nominate a University Staff member who holds an office support job title. Employers Can Recruit Students at Job Carnival

The campus-wide Student Job Carnival will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, noon–4 p.m. at the Sellery Basketball Court, Gordon Terrace (rain location will be Gordon Dining and Event Center Symphony Room). The fair, open to both UW students and non–UW students, is free for both students and employers. The job carnival will be an interactive event with games, prizes, and food. Employers who would like a presence at the fair are asked to respond by Friday, Aug. 10 by completing a brief survey. Registrations after Aug. 10 will not be included in advertisements. Campus Drop-In Tours Available Daily

New this summer, Campus and Visitor Relations is offering 45-minute drop-in campus tours daily at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The tours are open to members of the community, alumni, conference attendees, or other visitors. UW–Madison’s history, academics, research, and culture are highlighted. The tour is recommended for K–8 students and adults. Tours start at the Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St. (Tours will not be offered on Aug. 21 and Aug. 31.) Groups of six or more are asked to register at least one week in advance.
