March 22, 2025 |  |  | Coffee and Conversation Series Offers Spring SessionsApril McHugh, director of the career counseling program for UW–Madison employees, will present a workshop on Growing Career Resilience in an Ever-Changing Workplace on Thursday, Feb. 16, 8–10 a.m. at Union South. Participants will learn how to better lead, work, and develop in their careers, and will leave with resiliency strategies they can implement immediately. Coffee and light refreshments will be served. The free event is part of the Coffee and Conversation series hosted by Learning and Talent Development. Additional talks are scheduled for March 23 and April 27. Register in advance.  |  |  |  | Administrative Professionals Conference Call for ProposalsThe Administrative Professionals Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. at Union South. The conference provides professional development to UW–Madison employees who serve in roles such as administrative assistant, office associate, executive assistant, financial specialist, program assistant, administrative specialist, and medical program assistant. Conference planners welcome calls for proposals from interested speakers who would like to present breakout sessions in support of one or more conference themes. Session proposals are due by Friday, Feb. 3. Registration, which includes lunch, has a $125 fee and is open through March 28. Managers and supervisors are encouraged to approve requests from staff to attend the conference.  |  |  |  | Nominations Open for Partners in Giving AwardsNominations are now being accepted for four Partners in Giving volunteer awards. Employees are encouraged to nominate campaign volunteers who have done outstanding work to support the campaign. The nomination deadline is 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1. A ceremony to honor award winners will be held in March.
