Late Night Diversity Forum Rescheduled for Dec. 13

The Diversity Forum originally announced for December 4 has been rescheduled, and will now be held Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the Concerto Room at Gordon Commons. This session is intended for UW–Madison employees who work second and third shifts, although all UW–Madison employees are welcome to attend. A meal will be provided at 12:15 a.m. The forum will cover a variety of topics, including diversity and inclusion efforts at UW–Madison, campus climate survey results, recognizing bias, and disrupting hostile and intimidating behaviors. Employees can attend without loss of pay and pre-registration is not required. Please notify your supervisor if you plan to attend. Interpretation services will be available for those whose preferred language is Spanish, Hmong, Tibetan, or Chinese.

Last Chance to Participate in Partners in Giving

Thursday, Nov. 30, is the last day to contribute to this year’s Partners in Giving campaign. Help improve lives for others at home and abroad by donating to the charity or charities of your choice. Donations can be made by payroll deduction, cash or check. To make a contribution, fill out a paper pledge form (available from your divisional Partners in Giving coordinators) or donate online. Upcoming Deadline for Blend@UW Sessions

Applications are currently being accepted for the winter sessions of Blend@UW. The four-day sessions, offered at no cost, are scheduled for January 9–12 and January 16–19, 2018. Apply by Friday, Dec. 15 to reserve your spot. Past participants report 100 percent satisfaction with the program, which helps instructors develop a course map and evaluation plan for blended-learning courses.
