Icon for Health Benefit Information

Save the date for upcoming benefits enrollment sessions

UW–Madison employees can enroll in or change benefits for the upcoming year now through Friday, Oct. 20, 2023. Certain benefits require re-enrollment every year. Employees are encouraged to attend upcoming virtual and in-person sessions that will provide information about benefits options and how to enroll. A 60-minute overview, “Benefits 2024: What You Need to Know,” will be offered virtually throughout the enrollment period. This information session will also be offered in person at the Employee Benefits and Resource Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 3. A daytime session will be offered in multiple languages (no English) on Sept. 28, and a late-night session for the second and third shifts will be offered in all languages on Oct. 4. Details about these sessions and additional resources to assist with benefits enrollment are available at benefits.wisc.edu/2024.

Registration deadline approaching for Leadership and Management Development Conference

Registration is open through October 3 for the annual Leadership and Management Development Conference, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 18 at Union South, hosted by Learning and Talent Development. The conference brings together colleagues and community members to discuss leadership strategies and challenges, foster career advancement, and connect and learn from a community of leaders. Participants do not need to be in a position of direct leadership to attend. The $135 registration fee for UW employees includes the keynote, breakout sessions, continental breakfast, and lunch.

Proposals sought for Information & Technology Leadership Conference

The 2023 Information & Technology Leadership Conference (I&TLC) will take place on Tuesday, December 5. Conference organizers are inviting proposals for presentations that engage the information and technology communities in conversations around leadership development, problem-solving, team building and other aspects of leadership. Presentations may be virtual or in person. Proposals are due by October 8, 2023.

Oct. 13 deadline to earn Well Wisconsin incentive

The deadline to complete the steps in the Well Wisconsin program and earn a $150 incentive is October 13, 2023. Participants must complete a health assessment, health check, and one well-being activity. There is also a simplified process for people who do not have computer access, need language support, or find the online steps challenging to complete.
