Why UW–Madison’s enterprise AI tools are the smart choice

UW–Madison offers free enterprise generative AI tools that protect university data with enhanced privacy features. Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, Google Gemini, and meeting tools such as Webex AI Assistant and Zoom AI Companion are available for faculty, staff, and students. Unlike public AI services, these tools prevent your data from being used to train AI models while providing secure support for writing, research, and administrative tasks.

Event for current and aspiring project managers

Faculty and staff involved in—or curious about—project management are invited to the Project Management Institute (PMI) chapter meeting on Thursday, July 17, 5-7:30 p.m. at Gordon Dining and Event Center. Cohosted by the Office of Strategic Consulting, the event features a presentation by Ryan Munz, head football coach at UW-Platteville, who will share his proven framework for developing leadership within organizations. The event will enable participants to connect with peers and develop insights into leadership and project management. The cost is $25 for PMI members, $20 for students, and $30 for non-members/guests. Register by July 7.

Webinar helps employees balance work and parenting responsibilities

LifeMatters and the Employee Assistance Office are offering a virtual webinar, Addressing the Challenges of Parenthood and Professionalism, on Tuesday, June 24, noon-1 p.m. This session will provide practical tips for those struggling to balance work and parenting. Participants will learn about managing time and energy, self-care tips, the importance of being flexible, and knowing when to seek support. Wisconsin Welcome 2025 accepting event submissions

Campus partners, student organizations, and community groups have an early opportunity to introduce their organizations to incoming students by submitting an event for Wisconsin Welcome 2025, hosted by the Office of Student Transition and Family Engagement within Student Affairs. Wisconsin Welcome (Aug. 25-Oct. 5, 2025) is an annual, multi-week event series celebrating the arrival of our newest Badgers on campus. Approved events will be promoted to 8,400+ incoming students via the Wisconsin Welcome app. Please submit your event details for consideration by August 11.
