Well Wisconsin deadline to earn incentive is Oct. 17

The Well Wisconsin program supports participants in meeting their health and well-being goals. Those who complete the program steps by the October 17, 2025, deadline will earn a $150 prepaid card. UW employees, retirees, and their spouses who are currently enrolled in the State Group Health Insurance plan are eligible to participate. Fall professional development offerings from the Office of Strategic Consulting

Beginning September 18, the Office of Strategic Consulting will launch a new slate of virtual and in-person professional development sessions as part of its Ignite: Fueling Organizational Excellence and In Scope: Managing Projects at UW–Madison series. These sessions are designed to help faculty and staff build the knowledge and skills needed to improve efficiency, address challenges, and advance strategic priorities within their school, college, division, or unit. Most sessions are free, but registration is required.

Program for finance professionals invites fall cohort registration

Registration is now open for the fall 2025 cohort of the Finance@UW program. This program equips UW–Madison finance professionals with the knowledge and skills to excel, with a focus on institutional financial operations and strategy. Sessions will take place in person on Thursdays in October from 9 a.m.–noon at the Pyle Center. There is no cost to participate. Additional details about the curriculum and program requirements are available online. Interested employees are also welcome to subscribe to the mailing list for the Finance@UW program and annual conference.

Webinar focuses on the mental and emotional aspects of retirement

LifeMatters and the Employee Assistance Office, in partnership with Madison Benefits Services, are offering a one-hour webinar, Transition to Retirement: Preparing Mentally and Emotionally, on three different dates this fall: Sept. 16, Nov. 19, and Dec. 10. Participants will learn about the phases of retirement; mental preparation; hazards and opportunities; and reaching a rewarding retirement. The webinar is offered at no cost to all UW–Madison employees. Register online for the session of your choice to receive the Zoom link.
