The university has created a web page with expanded information and guidance should students or employees encounter someone representing a federal agency in campus facilities or workspaces. As previously shared, the university provides information on the immigration status of its students, faculty, and staff only when required by law. PDF versions of the federal immigration activity guidance page are available in English, Spanish, Hmong, Tibetan, Chinese, and Nepali at news.wisc.edu/federal-immigration-activity.  |  |  |  | Pluralism in Practice workshop to facilitate civil dialogueFaculty, staff, and students are invited to participate in the Pluralism in Practice workshop on Monday, March 23 <NOTE CORRECTED DATE>, at Union South. This event is designed to celebrate and strengthen a culture of viewpoint diversity and civil dialogue at UW–Madison. Registration is open for the full workshop, scheduled for 1:30–5:30 p.m., which includes conversations with thought leaders, sessions designed to help engage in discussion about timely issues, and opportunities to learn more about campus efforts to advance civil dialogue and get involved in the Wisconsin Exchange. Participants may register only for the fireside chat, 4–5 p.m., with the 11th U.S. archivist, Colleen Shogan. FP&M staff work behind the scenes keeping UW-Madison running day and night, managing the planning, maintenance, operations, safety, and sustainability of our 939-acre campus. Any member of the campus community can nominate an FP&M employee or team for an award. Complete the nomination form online or print and submit a form in any of six languages. The nomination deadline is March 13. This event provides an opportunity to build workplace skills, foster community, and expand resources for event professionals and those with event-related responsibilities, including project managers, marketing and communication managers, building managers, financial specialists, and others. The conference will take place on May 27, 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., at the Memorial Union. Conference organizers are now accepting session proposals from interested speakers. Proposals are due March 20. Conference registration is also open.  |  |
