Registration deadline approaching for Finance@UW Conference

The Finance@UW Conference will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. at Union South. This conference is intended for campus employees with financial roles or responsibilities, including employees with titles in the Finance job group, as well as administrative specialists, department administrators, and others whose positions include responsibility for financial operations. The registration fee of $75 includes workshops, the keynote session, and meals. Register by March 2 to ensure your participation in the conference.

Academic Staff Institute to take place April 16

The Academic Staff Institute (ASI), an annual professional development conference for UW–Madison academic staff, is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 11 a.m.–4:30 p.m. at Union South. Registration is open through April 1 at go.wisc.edu/xlw5yw. The registration cost is $25 (includes lunch), but those who join the Academic Staff Professionals Representation Organization between now and April 1 will receive free registration to ASI. All attendees will receive free membership to the Madison Academic Staff Network through Aug. 31, 2026.

Late-night measles vaccine clinic for second and third shift employees

University Health Services (UHS) is hosting a late-night measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine clinic for employees who are unprotected against measles or unsure of their vaccination status. The clinic is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 11 p.m. to Friday, March 6 at 1 a.m. at the Health Sciences Learning Center (HSLC). Appointments are recommended, but drop-in vaccinations are available. MMR vaccines will be billed through employee health insurance plans. If an employee does not have health insurance, or if their insurance does not cover the cost, the university will cover the cost of the vaccine. Employees should bring their Wiscard and insurance information. Language support will be available in Spanish, Hmong, Tibetan, Chinese, and Nepali. Campus launches new wheelchair loan programs

Two university wheelchair loan programs have launched for use by employees, students, program participants, and guests. Wheelchairs are available for anyone at the university to use, whether for attending a campus event or needing to access their office or workspace. These general campus wheelchairs are loaned through Recreation & Wellbeing (Rec Well). Wheelchairs are also available for campus tours offered through Campus and Visitor Relations. These new programs are in addition to existing wheelchairs offered through the Wisconsin Union for Union events or accessing Union spaces.
