Reminder: Campus Guidelines for Inclement Weather

Cold temperatures, snowy roads, and icy conditions can be expected in the coming months. In preparation, the Office of Human Resources suggests that you review the inclement weather guidelines for UW–Madison. The chancellor is responsible for determining if classes will be canceled or postponed or some university services suspended due to inclement weather. The chancellor’s decisions will be based on the safety and welfare of students, faculty and staff. Review Your 2018 Benefits Enrollments

This is a good time to review your 2018 insurance coverage and any changes you made during the Annual Benefits Enrollment period which ended on October 27, 2017. You can view a summary of your benefits for 2018 online by using the MyUW portal. If you are University Staff and are paid every two weeks, premiums for 2018 coverage will be deducted starting with the paycheck dated December 21, 2017. If you are paid monthly as Faculty, Academic Staff, or a Limited Appointee, premiums for 2018 coverage will be deducted starting with the paycheck dated January 2, 2018. Detailed instructions on how to view your benefits information on the MyUW portal are available from the UW Service Center. UWPD to Host Community Forum on November 27

Do you have questions for the UW–Madison Police Department? Join the UWPD for a community forum on Monday, Nov.27, 4:30–6 p.m. in the Marquee Theater at Union South. UWPD Chief Kristen Roman and other UWPD leadership will be on hand to answer your questions and share their perspectives on campus policing. All campus community members, including faculty, staff, and students, are welcome to attend.

Thanksgiving Weekend Campus Dining Hours

University Housing’s dining locations are closed Thursday through Saturday for Thanksgiving, with limited hours on Sunday. Hours are listed at Dining locations will resume regular hours on Monday, Nov. 27.
