Offered by the Center for Teaching, Learning & Mentoring, this workshop is designed to help instructors start the semester with confidence and coordination. The workshop provides both new and returning instructors with focused time to think about their teaching, along with ideas for new, evidence-based approaches that can be applied right away. Both current and aspiring leaders will find courses and workshops, seminars, conferences, coaching and consultation opportunities, and communities of practice — most of which are offered free to charge to UW employees. Professional development opportunities that support leadership development are provided for individuals, supervisors/managers, faculty, organizational leaders, and student leaders.  |  |  |  | Women and Leadership Symposium registration deadline approachingThe Women and Leadership Symposium brings together engaged professionals for networking, professional development, learning from women leaders, and sharing of best practices. This year’s event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. at Union South. In addition to the keynote address on leadership in times of uncertainty, there will be 28 breakout sessions on topics related to relationship building, well-being, building influence, career management, workplace skills, and equity, inclusion and diversity. The registration fee is $100 for UW–Madison faculty and staff. Register by June 3 to secure your place.  |  |
