March 22, 2025 |  |  | Second of Two Pay Adjustments EffectiveUW-Madison faculty, academic staff, university staff, and limited appointees will receive the second of two pay increases in January under the 2017–2019 pay plan. The pay plan established a 4 percent increase. The first 2 percent increase took effect in July 2018. The second 2 percent increase became effective December 23, 2018 for employees paid on an hourly basis and January 1, 2019 for employees paid monthly. Employees who are paid hourly will see the increase on the paycheck dated January 17. For employees who are paid monthly, the increase will appear on their earnings statement for January, paid on February 1. To be eligible to receive the pay plan increases, individuals must have been employed in their current positions by January 8, 2018, must have completed UW–Madison’s sexual harassment prevention training by March 9, 2018, and must have met performance expectations as identified in their last performance evaluation.  |  |  |  | Review Your Benefits EnrollmentThis is a good time to review your earnings statement and make sure the 2019 benefits changes you requested during Annual Benefits Enrollment have been made. Your earnings statement can be found in MyUW at my.wisc.edu. You can also review your benefits elections as listed in the “Benefit Information” module in MyUW. You can also ask your local human resources contact for assistance.  |  |  |  | Nominations for Academic Staff Excellence Awards Due FridayThe deadline for nominations for the UW–Madison Academic Staff Excellence Awards is Friday, Jan. 11. The awards honor academic staff in several categories, including excellence in teaching, service to the university, research, leadership, public service and outreach, and career achievement. Nominations must be submitted online at apps.ohr.wisc.edu/staffdev. Resubmissions are encouraged and may include updated materials.
