The lot will be served by a free shuttle. Employees may now submit an application to be considered for a parking permit. Details are available at transportation.wisc.edu.  |  |  |  | Employee Assistance Office moving to new campus locationThe Employee Assistance Office (EAO) is relocating to the 11th floor of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF), 614 Walnut Street. Two parking spaces at WARF will be reserved for EAO clients. Visitors may also use the Madison Metro bus system. In-person appointments with EAO counselors at the new location will begin on Monday, August 26. Appointments are also available virtually and by phone. The EAO offers counseling and consultation for personal or work-related concerns at no cost to UW–Madison faculty, staff, graduate student employees, significant others, and family members. Through LifeMatters, the EAO provides free and confidential telephone access to professional counselors 24/7 and statewide. For more information, visit eao.wisc.edu.  |  |  |  | Upcoming sessions for prospective volunteer tutorsThe Volunteer Tutoring Program at UW‒Madison matches employees with tutors who provide one-on-one instruction in conversation practice, basic English skills for reading and writing, or learning about the U.S. culture. Tutors receive training and may choose to earn an online Tutor Training Certificate. Informational sessions about becoming a tutor will be held online via Zoom on August 29, September 4, and September 10. Advance registration is not required, and there is no obligation to volunteer after attending. UW‒Madison employees, students, and community members are all welcome to volunteer.  |  |  |  | August 30 football game to impact campus parkingThousands of visitors will be in Madison and the campus area Friday, Aug. 30, as the Wisconsin Badgers kick off their 2024 football season. Most parking lots will be open to permit holders during the day before transitioning to event-only parking in the evening. Transportation Services will email specific parking information to permit holders based on their assigned lot. Employees and supervisors are encouraged to consider alternatives that day such as flexible work arrangements, carpooling, biking, or taking the bus.  |  |
