Transportation Services Announces 2023‒24 Parking Rates, Program Changes

Many parking permits and passes will see a 1 percent price increase. The hourly rate to qualify for the reduced cost parking program will increase from $18.35 to $18.72 per hour. Rates for employee bus passes, night permits, and Flex parking will not increase. For more information, visit transportation.wisc.edu.

Complete Mandatory Cybersecurity Awareness Training Now

All UW‒Madison employees are required to complete the 2023 Cybersecurity Awareness Training. Those who have not completed the training must do so by 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2023 (or earlier if required by your area). The training is available in six languages (text version only) and typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. FAQs, including information on how to verify if you have successfully completed the training, are available on the Cybersecurity Awareness Training website. LGBTQ+ Town Hall April 20

The LGBTQ Shared Governance Committee is hosting a Town Hall on Thursday, April 20, 5‒7 p.m. at the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon Street. The committee invites faculty and staff to bring their ideas, thoughts, and concerns about their work. CART captioning and dinner will be provided.

Help Partners in Giving Reach $2M

The Partners in Giving 2022 Awards Ceremony, held March 20, honored volunteers who did outstanding work to support the campaign and campus units that made strides to increase participation (see the award winners). Organizers also announced that the campaign had raised $1,983,003 to date, which inspired event emcee UW Police Department Chief Kristen Roman to volunteer to take a pie in the face if the campaign total reaches $2 million by May 1. Although the option to give through payroll deduction has passed, donations by credit/debit card, PayPal, and check are accepted through May 14.

UW‒Madison Ranked Among America's Best Large Employers

UW–Madison ranked in the top 500 among “America’s Best Large Employers” for 2023 in a survey by Forbes. The university came in at #196 on the list of employers with at least 5,000 employees. The ranking is based on a survey of about 45,000 workers at American companies and institutions with 5,000 or more employees.
