UW–Madison Profile offers new interface for personal data

The UW–Madison Profile service makes it easy to see and update personal information, contact information, and security settings, all in one place. Profile is a new and growing tool that enables students and employees to take control of their digital campus experience by bringing personal data from across multiple campus systems into one simple, accessible, and easy-to-use interface. Employees can use Profile to update their name, add pronouns to services like Canvas and Zoom, change their mailing address and emergency contacts, review NetID settings, and more. To get started, log in with your NetID at profile.wisc.edu.

How to check your tax withholding amounts

All UW–Madison employees are encouraged to do a “paycheck checkup” by reviewing their earnings statement. This can help prevent you from having too little or too much federal or state tax withheld from your paycheck. The IRS offers a Tax Withholding Estimator to help you determine the right amount of tax withholding for your situation at irs.gov/individuals/tax-withholding estimator. If you would like to make a change in how much tax you have withheld, submit a new W4 form via the self-service module in MyUW at my.wisc.edu. In the Payroll Information tile, click on "Update W4." The Update Federal and/or State Form W4 tip sheet can help you use self-service to complete Form W4. If you need assistance, see your local payroll contact.
