Smoke from Canadian wildfires has drifted across Wisconsin this week, prompting UW–Madison to monitor air quality conditions. The university remains open for normal business, but is taking certain precautions. Find guidance at go.wisc.edu/9rs210.

Next Workday Walkthrough previews expense reporting in Workday Mobile

When Workday goes live at every UW System institution in July 2024, UW‒Madison employees will begin using Workday to reconcile any university card purchases and out-of-pocket expenses. The virtual Workday Walkthrough on Thursday, July 13, 3‒4 p.m., will provide an overview and demonstration of this functionality, including the Workday mobile app. Workday Walkthroughs are an introduction to Workday; they are not training. Campus liaisons sought to support new digital accessibility policy

UW‒Madison’s new digital accessibility policy becomes effective July 1, 2023. DoIT’s Center for User Experience is building a network of digital accessibility liaisons to provide consultation and support for their units. The digital accessibility liaisons will be the primary points of contact for digital accessibility in their respective units. Units across campus are encouraged to identify at least one liaison. Manager approval to serve is required.

Some parking restrictions waived for holiday

In observance of Independence Day, parking permits will not be required in most surface parking lots on Monday, July 3. Ramps and garages will be under normal weekday operation. On July 4, parking permits will not be enforced. Regular enforcement will resume July 5.
