March 24, 2025 |  |  | Reminder of Deadlines to Use Personal Holiday and Vacation CarryoverUW–Madison employees are reminded to make plans to use personal holiday hours or vacation carryover by the upcoming deadlines. Faculty, Academic Staff, and Limited Appointees with 12-month (annual basis) appointments must use all carried-over vacation and personal holiday hours by June 30, 2022, the end of the fiscal year. Floating holidays earned on Dec. 25, 2021, and Jan. 1, 2022, must also be used by June 30. For University Staff, all carried-over vacation and all personal holiday hours must be used by December 31, the end of the calendar year. Employees who are eligible to bank leave may do so. Any vacation carryover or personal holiday hours remaining after these respective deadlines will be lost. Leave balances can be found under “Time and Absence” in MyUW. Employees who wish to verify their leave balances and the corresponding deadlines should contact the human resources department in their school, college, or division.  |  |  |  | FP&M Employee Recognition Awards Accepting NominationsEach year, Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) recognizes FP&M employees whose work adds value to the world-class learning environment on our 936-acre UW campus. Nominations are now being accepted for the FP&M Employee Recognition Awards. The FP&M workforce consists of more than 1,200 employees who provide services in campus planning, design and construction, maintenance and operation of buildings and grounds, utilities, health and safety, sustainability, and parking and transportation. Any member of the campus community can nominate an FP&M employee or team for an award. Re-submissions of prior nominations are encouraged. Complete the nomination form online or print and submit a form in any of six languages. The nomination deadline is April 18. The guidelines apply to all Madison Metro Transit routes, including campus bus routes, as well as UW park and ride and accessible circulator shuttles.
