Deadline to request leave banking is October 31

Eligible employees can convert unused vacation or vacation carryover balances as of June 30 to banked leave. The deadline to complete this election has been extended to October 31 to allow for the transition to Workday. Employees can review their eligibility for banked leave and make requests to bank leave in Workday. Instructions on how to enter banked leave elections are available online. Your banked leave elections will not change your time off balances immediately. Instead, they will be reflected in Workday at the start of the pay period after you submit your elections. If you have already made an election that you wish to change, contact your local human resources office.

Parking permit application tips from Transportation Services

Employees who are on a waiting list for a 2025–26 parking permit are encouraged to consider re-applying for a lot with lower demand. This can increase the likelihood of receiving a parking permit (it is not a guarantee). For earlier consideration, re-apply by the August 12 or August 26 deadlines. Applications may be changed at any time throughout the year. Find a list of lower demand lots and a link to the Permit Application System on the Transportation Services website. In the Permit Application System, click the blue "re-apply for a permit" button to update your preferences.

Principles of Supervision and Management program coming to west campus

The Principles of Supervision and Management (PSM) certificate program will be held in person on the west side of campus from September 9 to November 18. The program consists of four-hour classes once a week for 11 weeks and will meet at the School of Nursing’s Signe Skott Cooper Hall on Tuesday afternoons. Although the program is relevant to all managers and supervisors, it is especially helpful to those who are newer in their management roles at UW–Madison. Please fill out the Google form to express interest in this program.
