April 11, 2026 |  |  | New series helps employees take charge of their careersCareer Development@UW is a new virtual training series offered to UW–Madison employees at no cost by Learning and Talent Development. Participants will learn about strategies, tools, and resources to navigate their career path, identify opportunities for growth within UW–Madison, and develop career resilience. Hour-long sessions will be held September through December, 2025, with the first session scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 24. Employees may choose the sessions that interest them; there is no obligation to complete the entire series. Register online.  |  |  |  | Edvest 529 College Savings webinars and bonus offerWisconsin’s Edvest 529 College Savings Program enables participants to save for college costs for a child, grandchild, or loved one. A 529 account is a tax-advantaged, benefits-oriented college savings account that can be used for a variety of qualified higher education expenses. Upcoming online webinars will provide information on how 529 college savings plans work, the benefits of these accounts, and other resources available to help families plan and pay for college. Individuals who open a new Edvest account between Sept. 8 and Sept. 26, 2025, can qualify for a special bonus of $50. These classes provide tools for navigating common parenting issues, promoting healthy child development, and improving well-being both at home and on campus. Registration for the Fall 2025 Series is now open and includes classes on sleep solutions for infants and toddlers, navigating challenging behaviors, and more. All classes are held virtually via Zoom from noon to 1:15 p.m. unless otherwise noted.  |  |  |  | Reminder: Accessing Workday, finding training and supportWorkday went live at UW–Madison on July 7, 2025. You can access Workday — which you will use for tasks such as submitting time off, checking your payslip, updating your personal information, and more — through a new tile in MyUW or through the Workday mobile app. Refer to instructions on how to install Workday on a mobile device.
Once you have logged into Workday, you can complete training on how to use the platform by searching “UWS – Workday for All Employees” in the top search bar and selecting the course under the “Learning” category. If you need help with Workday, submit a ticket using GetHelpUW.  |  |
