March 22, 2025 | | | Campus Climate Survey Dashboard Provides Summary DataApproximately 6,500 (38%) UW–Madison staff participated in the 2022 Staff Climate Survey. Respondents were invited to share their thoughts, experiences, and concerns about working at the university. Results from many of the survey’s questions are provided in a new data dashboard on the survey website. The dashboard allows users to view results across a variety of demographic factors and for schools, colleges, divisions, and departments. New resources and strategies will be created in response to the survey results, and other resources are already available for units and individual employees. | | | | Memorial Service for Chancellor Emerita BlankA memorial service will be held for Rebecca M. Blank on Saturday, March 4 at 2 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1609 University Avenue, Madison. The church will provide a livestream of the service on YouTube. A reception will follow in Varsity Hall at Union South. Campus and community members are invited to both events. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the Chancellor Rebecca Blank Great People Scholarship Fund. A separate event hosted by UW–Madison is expected to be held in the summer. | | | | Workday Walkthrough Looks at Security RolesWhen Workday goes live at every UW System institution in 2024, security roles will determine who has access to what information, as well as who can take action on tasks and transactions. The next Workday Walkthrough, “What is a Security Role?,” will be held on Thursday, March 9, 3‒4 p.m., online. This is a helpful session for business users who currently have security roles in the Human Resource System or Shared Financial System. Workday Walkthroughs (previously known as Readiness Workshops) are an introduction to Workday; they are not training. A different topic will be highlighted each month. Recordings of Workday Walkthroughs and earlier Readiness Workshops are available on the ATP website to anyone with a UW login ID. | | | | NameCoach Now Available for All Faculty and StaffFaculty, staff, and students now have access to NameCoach, a cloud-based service that allows people to record the proper pronunciation of their name, in their own voice. NameCoach is now available with single sign-on, using UW–Madison NetID, outside of Canvas. This allows people to use NameCoach to create a “NameBadge,” which is a name recording that can be published in online profiles or in an email signature. | |
