These free resources should not be confused with email solicitations employees may receive from lead-generation services conducting marketing for financial consultants. These emails offer free consultations to UW employees, but the senders are selling your contact information. We recommend you ignore these emails and instead use the free resources available to you from UW–Madison and ETF. Please examine any emails you receive carefully to determine whether they are legitimate.

The Event Management Forum, scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 8:30 a.m.–4:15 p.m., at the Memorial Union, is a new professional development conference designed for campus employees who plan, coordinate, and execute events of all kinds — from student activities, graduation, and athletic games to office meetings, workshops, and large-scale conferences and celebrations. The conference is designed for event professionals and those with event-related responsibilities, including project managers, marketing and communication managers, building managers, financial specialists, and others. The registration fee of $75 includes workshops, the keynote session, continental breakfast, and lunch. Register by May 12 to secure your place.

The 2026 UW–Madison Teaching & Learning Symposium on May 14 will highlight strategies for large-enrollment courses, facilitating class discussions across diverse perspectives, and more. Keynote speaker Sarah Rose Cavanagh, author of Mind Over Monsters, will share how to create learning environments of compassionate challenge.
