March 22, 2025 |  |  | Job Titles and Position Descriptions to Be Updated November 2021Last week, UW–Madison in partnership with UW System announced the Title and Total Compensation (TTC) Project will resume plans to implement a new title and salary structure. On November 7, 2021, UW–Madison employees will have updated job titles and new position descriptions as part of the TTC Project. Employees and supervisors (or local human resource units) will continue conversations to confirm job titles and position descriptions. All conversations must be complete by September 10, 2021. Employees can expect to receive an official notification letter to confirm their new titles in October or early November. The new salary structure will be published in the fall, before the November implementation date. Employees are encouraged to attend a virtual campus forum on April 21–22 to learn more. It will be the single point of entry for catalog (currently MDS) orders, requisitions, purchase orders, direct payments (DPs) and payments to individuals (PIRs). Introductory training courses are now available. The week of April 12, skills-based courses will be available by role for shoppers, requesters, and approvers of requisitions or payments. The goal is to create a new system of bus routes that better serves the needs of Madison area residents and businesses. Survey responses will help determine the priorities of transit service in the Madison area, including connections to and from campus. The survey will be open through the month of April.
