With holidays on a weekend, day off is a Monday

Plan for an unusual holiday work schedule this year.  Christmas Eve and Christmas Day both fall on a weekend, as do New Year's Eve and Near Year's Day. As a result, both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are considered floating holidays, and Christmas and New Year's Day will be observed with days off on Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2, when offices will be closed.
