From 2-6 a.m., parking is not allowed or restricted in certain lots regardless of weather conditions. The parking restrictions help facilitate snow removal. Please report snowy, slippery or icy conditions in campus parking lots to Transportation Services. Visit transportation.wisc.edu for details.

Learning module introduces employees to data governance and responsible use

Data@UW ‒ Data Governance and Responsible Use is a new, interactive learning module designed to introduce all UW–Madison employees to institutional data and their individual responsibilities. This 30-minute, self-paced module shares crucial steps to maintain the security of the institutional data we collect and use every day. This data includes social security numbers, benefits elections, financial data, cybersecurity information, student records, and, for many, increased access to these data in Workday. The course is hosted in Workday and requires a NetID to register.

The most popular sessions from the Administrative Professionals Conference that took place in April 2026 will be offered again as a Virtual Replay on Thursday, Dec. 4, at no cost to UW–Madison employees. LifeMatters and the Employee Assistance Office are offering a virtual webinar, Pathways to Hearing Self and Others, on Tuesday, Nov. 25, noon-1 p.m. via Zoom. Participants will learn how to identify signs of caregiver stress and how to care for themselves while also caring for others. The webinar is offered at no cost to all UW–Madison employees.
