Daily Blotter for April 30th 2024

  • 8:32 am, Information, Grainger Hall. Contacted person who reported that they were on the phone and heard a pop and their whiteboard shattered and thought someone shot at them through their office window.
  • 9:29 am, Theft/Larceny, Lot 12. Contacted person regarding their UW Transportation Services parking permit being taken from his vehicle between 6:10am and 9:00am while parked on the west end of Lot 12.
  • 2:13 pm, Follow-up, Tripp Hall. Contacted person who reported damage to a door that was super-glued shut.
  • 3:04 pm, Theft/Larceny, Microbial Sciences. Contacted person regarding theft of their black card holder wallet.
  • 3:07 pm, Harassment, Library Mall. While at Library Mall for another event, UWPD Officers were approached by a group of UW Students and Staff Members reporting an unknown male performed a “Heil Hitler” Salute to the group after having a verbal confrontation regarding the Israel/Palestine conflict.
  • 5:06 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Cleared by MFR, patient declined assistance.
  • 5:06 pm, Theft/Larceny, East Campus Mall. Contacted person regarding stolen tan wallet with driver’s license and several credit cards, along with two university building keys.
  • 6:56 pm, Check Person, Memorial Union. Contacted building manager and Operations Manager after they reported there had been a seemingly intoxicated person in the Bradley Lounge.
  • 7:36 pm, Other, Location Redacted. Responded to the Lakeshore Path regarding a check welfare.
  • 9:07 pm, Information, Eagle Heights Dr. Contacted person after their roommate and they had a confrontation. Both roomates have been advised no contact with each other.
  • 10:48 pm, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted person for theft of brown wallet.
  • 11:35 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted person who injured their eye while playing basketball. Transported person to local hospital.
  • 12:25 am, Emergency Detention, Local Hospital. Contacted person after Dane County Crisis contacted UWPD for a Emergency Detention Transport to Winnebago Mental Health for a return transport. Third party transport company completed transport to Winnebago.
  • 12:55 am, Criminal Damage, DeJope. Attempted to take photos of single stall bathroom. No graffiti located due to custodial worker already cleaning and removing drawings.
  • 1:11 am, Found Property, Wendt Library. A DOC ankle monitor was discovered by UWPD security near the Wendy Library and returned to the UWPD. Wisconsin Department of Corrections was contacted regarding the ankle monitor and was returned to them without incident.
