Badgers Get Active Feb. 22

Faculty, staff, and students are invited to get moving on Thursday, Feb. 22 for #ActiveBadger Day. Fitness and recreational activities are scheduled at various campus locations from early morning to late evening. Most activities are free. Enrollment Open for Fully Prepared to Lead

The Fully Prepared to Lead series offers no-cost professional development to help UW–Madison employees improve their leadership skills. Leadership is defined by your actions and behaviors to help effect positive change and is not defined by your formal position or authority. Classes can be taken in any order and you may take as many or as few as you like. Register for individual sessions or complete a Certificate of Leadership Competency. Professional Development Grants Available for Academic Staff

Applications are now being accepted for the Spring 2018 Academic Staff Professional Development Grant program. The program is offered to academic staff members who meet the eligibility requirements and hold at least a 50 percent appointment. Grants are for activities beginning between July 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018. Applications are due Friday, March 16.

Instructors Share Experiences with Tech

The new Active Teaching Exchanges, offered by DoIT Academic Technology, provide an opportunity to hear from other instructors about their experiences using tools and techniques to teach. Exchanges feature challenging topics and deep discussion, while the popular Active Teaching Labs provide hands-on experience with technology tools. Events are held weekly.

Campus Dining Locations Now Offer Delivery

A new delivery service enables customers to order almost any menu item from University Housing and Wisconsin Union locations across campus. The service uses a free mobile app from Tapingo that was introduced last fall. UW–Madison faculty, staff, and students can use their Wiscard account for payment and receive many of their usual discounts. There is a delivery charge of $3.99 per order.
