Campus Art Exchange Program Launches

UW–Madison units can now request fine art for their facilities under a new program administered by Facilities Planning & Management. The Campus Art Exchange is an innovative program that provides fine art for display across campus at little or no cost by circulating art works in the campus collection. Currently available works of art can be viewed in an online gallery.

Rec Sports Offers Summer Camp for Youth

UW–Madison Recreational Sports (Rec Sports) offers a day camp for kids ages 5–12, featuring campus field trips, outdoor and indoor activities, and theme days. Camp activities focus on team building, sport skills, and fun. Ten one-week sessions will be held beginning June 11, 2018. Full-day (9 a.m.–4 p.m.) and afternoon (noon–4 p.m.) sessions are offered, with drop-off and pick-up at the UW Natatorium. The cost is $195 per child for the full-day session and $125 per child for the afternoon session.

Cybersecurity Listening Session on April 4

An open listening session on new password guidelines will be held on April 4, 1–2 p.m., in 1360 Genetics-Biotechnology Center Building. The UW–Madison Office of Cybersecurity will describe the new password guidelines from the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) and gather your input on the best ways to implement them on campus.

IT Professionals Conference Call for Proposals

The call for proposals for the 2018 UW–Madison IT Professionals Conference is now open. The conference is designed to share experiences, skills, and technologies among campus IT staff. Conference organizers welcome submissions for 30- or 15-minute sessions, as well as 5-minute flash talks. The event will take place May 31 in Grainger Hall, 975 University Ave. Online submissions are due Friday, April 6.

Open Forum on Graduate Assistantship Policies

An open forum will be hosted by the Graduate Assistantship Policies and Procedures Workgroup on Tuesday, April 10, 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at the Memorial Union (see TITU for room location). Draft policies and procedures for graduate students and supervisors will be discussed. Those who are unable to attend can provide online feedback on the draft policy document.
