Bus Passes and Specialty Parking Permits Available

Employee bus passes and afternoon, night, moped and motorcycle permits for the 2019–20 parking year can now be purchased online at go.wisc.edu/8n4lxa. You can also purchase a bus pass at one of the Transportation Services Offices: Room 124 in the WARF building, 610 Walnut St.; Room E004 in American Family Children’s Hospital, 1675 Highland Ave.; and Suite 1200 in 21 North Park St. Office hours can be found online at transportation.wisc.edu/contact-us or by calling 608-263-6666. Student bus passes will be available through the Associated Students of Madison starting August 26.

TTC Launches Employee Survey

All UW–Madison employees are invited to take a two- to three-minute survey before August 23 to improve Title and Total Compensation (TTC) Project information. Your feedback will help shape the way the project provides communications and training. This survey is the first in a series of surveys that will go out to employees at regular intervals. TTC is a campus-wide initiative to attract, reward and retain university employees by determining improvements to compensation and benefits. August Workshops Make Teaching in Canvas Easy

Before the semester begins, DoIT Academic Technology will offer technical training and Active Teaching Labs to help instructors make more effective use of Canvas. Participants will learn how to use Canvas to engage students, manage course materials, foster peer-to-peer interactions, track grades and more. Training sessions and labs are offered August 21–30. Online registration is requested.

Volunteers Needed for Housing Move-In

University Housing is looking for volunteers to help students and families have a great experience during fall move-in. Volunteers will serve as Badger Buddies, helping to load belongings into carts and bring them to residents’ rooms. All volunteers will get a free Badger Buddy T-shirt and a five-dollar voucher for each shift worked to spend at any of the campus dining halls. Volunteers are most needed on Tuesday, Aug. 27. Other available days are Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1. Groups can be scheduled to work together as a team. Please volunteer by August 23 at go.wisc.edu/badger-buddy.
