Check Your Federal Withholding Amount

All UW–Madison employees are encouraged to do a “paycheck checkup.” This can help prevent you from having too little or too much federal tax withheld from your paycheck. The IRS offers a Tax Withholding Estimator to help you determine the right amount of tax withholding for your situation at irs.gov/individuals/tax-withholding estimator. If you would like to make a change in how much tax you have withheld, please submit a new W-4 form as soon as possible or see your local payroll contact for assistance.
