November Forums to Update Employees on TTC Project

All UW–Madison employees are invited to attend an informational update on the Title and Total Compensation (TTC) Project. New information will be shared, so those who have attended previous forums are encouraged to participate. The November Forums will provide an update on manager and employee engagement, and introduce the UW job library and new standard job descriptions. There will be time for questions and answers. Five sessions will be held at various campus locations during the week of November 11, and there will be an online forum on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Multilingual sessions will be offered in English, Spanish, Hmong, Tibetan, Mandarin, and Nepali. TTC is a campus-wide initiative to attract, reward and retain university employees by creating a market-informed pay and benefits structure. New Accident Insurance Plan Offered for 2020

UW-Madison employees who are eligible for State Group Health Insurance can choose to enroll in a new Accident Insurance plan that provides coverage for accidents and catastrophic events. This plan, administered by Securian Financial, helps cover unexpected expenses by providing a lump sum payment for illness or injury due to accident. Examples include fractures, stitches, and hospitalization. The plan also includes identity theft coverage and benefits for accidental death and dismemberment. Coverage is available for employees, spouses and children. Monthly premiums start at $3.26 for an employee only. Eligible employees who wish to enroll in the Accident Insurance plan may do so during the Annual Benefits Enrollment period, which ends on October 25, 2019. Register Now for Leadership Conference

Leaders and potential leaders will gather for a full day of professional development and networking at the Leadership and Management Development Conference on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 8:30 a.m.–4:15 p.m. at Union South. Breakout sessions will help participants develop skills in areas such as improving workplace performance, change tolerance, group dynamics, decision-making, influence without authority, and balancing life, family and career. The keynote session by Dr. Amy Climer, “Leading Deliberate Creative Teams,” will consider how teams can drive innovation. The conference is open to faculty, staff, and community members. Participants do not need to be in formal leadership positions to benefit from the conference. The $125 fee includes lunch. Register by Friday, Nov. 1 to secure your seat at the conference.
