COVID-19 Campus Updates Available Online

University Health Services has started to vaccinate eligible employees and students with the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Those who meet Phase 1a eligibility have received an email with instructions for making an appointment. Fourteen campus sites will support campus testing in the spring semester. UW–Madison provides the latest updates, information, and plans at covidresponse.wisc.edu. Please continue to monitor this website for the most up-to-date information for employees, students, and other members of the campus community.

Review Your Benefits Enrollment

This is a good time to review your earnings statement and make sure the 2021 benefits changes you requested during Annual Benefits Enrollment have been made. Your earnings statement can be found in MyUW at my.wisc.edu. You can also review your benefits elections as listed in the “Benefit Information” module in MyUW. If you have any concerns, please send an email to benefits@ohr.wisc.edu by Jan. 22. You can also ask your local human resources contact for assistance.

Nominations Open for Academic Staff Excellence Awards

The UW–Madison Academic Staff Excellence Awards will honor nine extraordinary individuals in several categories, including excellence in teaching, service to the university, research, leadership, public service and outreach, dedication to excellence, and career achievement. Nominations must be submitted by January 22, 2021. Resubmissions are encouraged and may include updated materials. Please email pdrc@soas.wisc.edu or contact the Secretary of the Academic Staff at 263-2985 if you have questions.

TSA Retirement Program Offers Live Webinars

The UW Tax-Sheltered Annuity (TSA) 403(b) Program is a supplemental retirement savings program that allows employees to invest a portion of their income for retirement on either a pre-tax basis, an after-tax basis (Roth), or a combination of both. Participation in the UW TSA Program is voluntary, with employees making the entire contribution; there is no employer match. Live webinars scheduled for January, February, and March will provide information about the TSA Program and other topics related to budgeting, investing, and planning for retirement. Registration is requested. Introductory information about the TSA program is available on demand and can be viewed anytime.
