The Division of Student Life is excited to announce a restructuring to better serve students and the campus community. The Dean of Students Office has split into two separate departments: the Dean of Students Office and the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards.

The Dean of Students Office (DOSO) will remain focused on student assistance and advocacy, as well as faculty/staff consultation. The Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards will address nonacademic and academic misconduct.

DOSO exists to support the academic mission of the university and to assist and support students in finding their own unique path to success. DOSO works with students individually on a wide range of student life issues, including academic concerns, interpersonal stresses, mental health issues and crisis situations.

The Academic Staff Mentoring Committee is again conducting the Mentor Match program this academic year. UW-Madison academic staff in their sixth or greater year of employment are eligible to be mentors, and those in their second to fifth year of employment are eligible to be mentees.  If you're interested, complete the match survey. The program commitment is for one academic year, but individual mentor pairs determine how frequently to meet during this time.
