The 2017 W-2 Wage and Tax Statements are now available online in MyUW at my.wisc.edu. Launch the Payroll Information module and click on the Tax Statements tab. Paper copies of the W-2 are being mailed by January 31, 2018. Some employees will receive additional tax forms from the university.

UW–Madison’s Title and Total Compensation (TTC) Study, a joint project with UW System, has developed a proposed framework that would sort the university's jobs into 24 families, as well as sub-families. The framework categorizes all jobs by level and identifies career paths for each job type. This is expected to lead to the development of market-informed titles and pay scales. In a highly collaborative effort, twenty teams developed the job families and sub-families, with input from more than 3,700 employees. The job framework and information about the study can be found on the TTC website.

Career management is an ongoing process, even when you are happy in your current position. To assist UW–Madison employees with their professional development, the Division of Continuing Studies has added a career counselor who will specialize in advising employees through the Adult Career and Special Student Services (ACSSS) office. This free service can help employees clarify short- and long-term goals, identify learning opportunities, explore job possibilities within UW–Madison or elsewhere, and keep growing in the job they currently hold. New changes to the U.S. Department of State's (DoS) Travel Advisory System will likely impact how UW–Madison students, faculty, and staff plan and prepare for university-affiliated travel to other nations. The university's travel policy is based on the travel guidelines set by the DoS and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. UW–Madison offers a variety of resources for travelers preparing to go abroad.
