Volunteer to Repurpose Waste During Move Out

University Housing is asking for volunteers to help students get rid of unwanted items sustainably during spring move out. From May 5–12, items are collected for recycling or donation at special locations near residence halls. In 2017, volunteers helped divert more than 129,000 pounds of material from the landfill. Volunteers assist with sorting and organizing items at various donation/recycling locations on campus. To volunteer as a recycling guide, sign up for one or more shifts online at go.wisc.edu/recycle-volunteer.
