Fully Prepared to Lead Series Builds Professional Skills

The Fully Prepared to Lead (FP2L) series is accepting registrations for sessions scheduled through the remainder of 2018. These no-cost professional development sessions are designed to help UW–Madison employees improve their leadership skills. FP2L is open to all UW-Madison employees, not just those in formal positions of authority. Leadership is defined by one's actions and behaviors to help affect positive change. Participants can register for one topic or an entire certificate series. Participants learn and practice practical leadership skills and get to know peers across campus. Free Workshop Explains Supplemental Retirement Program

The UW Tax-Sheltered Annuity (TSA) 403(b) Program is a supplemental retirement savings plan that can help UW–Madison employees prepare for retirement. Attend a free workshop to learn about the TSA 403(b) program and the importance of saving for retirement. A TSA provider representative will introduce the program and explain how to get started. Sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, July 17, 10–11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 28, 10–11 a.m., and Tuesday, Sept. 11, noon–1 p.m. All sessions are at 21 N. Park Street, Room 1106. Section of N. Charter Street Closes July 16

A steam project on N. Charter Street will begin July 16 and continue into November 2018. N. Charter Street will be closed to two-way traffic between W. Johnson Street and Lot 22 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. After 1 p.m., there will be a lane of one-way southbound traffic. Vehicles should use N. Mills Street or another parallel street from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lot 55 will be closed and permit holders will be relocated to Lot 20.

Construction on Babcock Hall Impacts Lot 40 Parking

Much of the eastern portion of Lot 40 is closed due to construction on Babcock Hall. It will remain closed for the rest of the 2017–18 parking year and the two following parking years. A temporary driveway is available to the west of the Stock Pavilion to access the western section of Lot 40. To access the eastern section of Lot 40, drivers must take Babcock Drive from University Avenue westbound.
