Re-Enroll to Continue Certain Benefits in 2019

The Annual Benefits Enrollment period is currently underway and will end on October 26, 2018. Even if you do not want to make any changes in your benefits elections for 2019, some plans require that you enroll each year to continue your participation. Be sure to enroll by October 26 if you wish to participate in the Flexible Savings Account (FSA) in 2019, including Health Care FSA, Limited Purpose FSA, and Dependent Day Care FSA. The Health Savings Account (HSA) requires that you enroll each year you are enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Any employee currently enrolled in supplemental dental coverage through Dental Wisconsin and/or Epic Benefits Plus will need to review the new Delta Dental options and take action to enroll for 2019. Dental Wisconsin and Epic Benefits Plus coverage will end December 31, 2018. If you wish to decline health insurance, you must opt out every year to participate in the State Group Health Insurance Opt-Out Incentive Plan. Visit www.wisconsin.edu/abe for details.

Attend a TTC Project Update

An overview of the Title and Total Compensation (TTC) Project and its significance to UW–Madison employees will be offered at the Employee Benefits and Resource Fair on Tuesday, October 9 at Union South. The session will provide information about key project components, including the compensation philosophy, standard job descriptions, market analysis of pay ranges, and the upcoming benefits preferences survey. Next steps in the project will be reviewed. All UW–Madison employees are welcome to attend one of three sessions: 10:15–11:15 (Industry Room), 12:45–1:45 p.m. (Marquee Theater), or 4:30-5:30 p.m. (Marquee Theater).

UWPD to Host Town Hall Forum

Faculty, staff, and students are invited to join the UW–Madison Police Department for a town hall community forum on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Gordon Dining and Event Center, Symphony Room. This event is an opportunity to ask questions and share feedback with UWPD Chief Kristen Roman and other UWPD leadership. Food and refreshments will be provided.

Celebrate German culture and heritage at Oktoberfest, Friday, Oct. 12, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at Gordon Dining and Event Center, Sonata Room. Complimentary food and beverages will be available. This event is sponsored by University Staff Shared Governance.
