VCFA Professional Development Program

Registration for classes is now closed. We have recorded the names of applicants who had difficulty registering during the open period and will seek to complete the process if we can make seats available.

Continuing studies at the University of Madison once again secured funding from the office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration for the Professional Development Scholarship in 2019. The scholarship program is part of  the Vice Chancellor’s Engagement, Inclusion and Diversity initiative.

University Staff employees will be able to register for noncredit courses at no charge. About 30 courses offered this year will include Leadership Development, Business Management, Human Resources and Training, Career Planning, and Diversity and Inclusion.  A full list of courses and their description can be found here. The list will be updated if more course are added.

  • Each applicant will be able to submit only one application. The application will ask for three course choices. If your preferred course fills, the second and third choices will be awarded.
  • Applications will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis, until funds are exhausted. In 2018, this occurred in under an hour.
  • ALL applicants will be notified of their award status, and only awarded applications will be registered into the course.
  • ALL awarded applications will be registered and sent a registration confirmation. Please do not attempt to register yourself.
