Dayton Street Closure Impacts Vehicle Traffic

Parts of W. Dayton Street between Charter Street and Park Street are now closed for a steam tunnel project and additional utility work. Dayton Street between Charter and Mills Streets and Mills to Brooks Streets are closed to vehicle traffic. Vehicles and bikes should detour via Regent, Park or Johnson Streets or University Ave. The Route 80 bus will detour off Dayton Street via Charter Street to Johnson Street, with four bus stops between Mills and Lake Streets closed. The project will be completed in three stages and is expected to last through November 2019. Updates, maps, detours, and bus route changes can be found at transportation.wisc.edu.

Work Out with Bucky at Camp Randall Stadium

All UW–Madison faculty, staff, and students are invited to join a free workout at Camp Randall Stadium on Wednesday, May 22, noon–12:45 p.m. This high-energy, low-stress workout takes place on the Badger 50-yard line. Group fitness instructors from Rec Sports will lead the workout, with help from Bucky Badger himself. The workout is appropriate for all fitness levels, and accommodations will be available for all physical abilities. In the event of rain, the event will take place at the McClain Center. Campus Supervisors Network (CSN) is a Community of Practice dedicated to promoting leadership and personnel management at UW–Madison. CSN supports managers and supervisors by fostering the sharing of ideas and best practices. A planning committee of peers develops training and networking opportunities. CSN also shares information and offers a number of resources on its website. All supervisors and managers at UW–Madison are welcome to participate. Free Course Focuses on Creating Inclusive Environments

Registration is open for “Expanding Self-Knowledge to Create Inclusive Environments” on Tuesday, May 21, 9 a.m.– 4 p.m. at 21 North Park Street, room 5045. This free, all-day event combines two current Thrive@UW–Madison courses. Participants will explore how increased self-awareness can help support a more inclusive work environment. Participants will also consider the impact of personal and social identities on workplace relationships, and learn how our mental processes influence our actions and decisions at work.
