Parking Rates for 2019–2020 Announced

Parking permit rates for the 2019–20 year have been announced by UW–Madison Transportation Services. This is the final year of the six-year conversion plan to a two-tier pricing system. Now all parking structures and high-demand surface lots are in one category and all remaining surface lots are in another. By phasing the conversion in over six years, one-time, large-scale price increases were avoided. The price for permits in the lots making the final conversion move were adjusted between three and five percent. All other product prices and fees will remain the same for the 2019-20 parking year, including permits, the employee bus pass, visitor parking fees, and administrative/citation fees.

Chilled Water Shutdown

As part of the South Campus Utility Improvement project, contractors will be replacing two valves in the campus chilled water system that are in worse-than-expected condition. To facilitate the completion of this work, FP&M will shut down chilled water service to the eastern half of campus from Tuesday, May 7, to Friday, May 10. Cooler springtime temperatures during this period will minimize the impact of this shutdown.
