UW–Madison Shares Support for the Hmong Community

UW–Madison is expressing support and sharing resources for Hmong community members following news reports that the federal government has opened negotiations that would allow the U.S. to deport certain Hmong residents to Laos. ATP Status Update Scheduled for Feb. 26

All UW–Madison employees are invited to attend an update on the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP) on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 10–11 a.m. Employees may join the event in person at the Biotechnology Center Auditorium or watch via livestream. A recording of the event will also be added to the ATP website later. The purpose of the Administrative Transformation Program is to upgrade and modernize UW’s administrative policies and procedures to support an increasingly complex teaching and research environment. At this event, program leaders will share progress to date and discuss upcoming activities. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and share feedback. Advance registration is requested.

Deadline Near for Employee Career Conference

Registration is open through Friday, Feb. 28 for the UW–Madison Employee Career Conference, “Construct Your Career at UW.” The conference takes place Weds., March 11, 8:30 a.m.–4:15 p.m. at Union South. Participants will find tools, inspiration, and resources to help them achieve their career goals at UW–Madison. Attendees will learn how to assess where they are now, build a career plan, or continue building within their current roles. Managers and supervisors are encouraged to approve requests from staff to attend. The conference fee is $25 and scholarships are available, with a Feb. 28 deadline to apply. WIAA Tournaments Will Impact Campus Parking

UW–Madison will host WIAA Individual Wresting (Feb. 27–29) and Boys Basketball (March 19–21), bringing more than 125,000 visitors to campus. Parking and traffic around the Kohl Center will be impacted during the tournaments. Permit holders in Lots 46, 78, 91 and 94 will need to relocate from their assigned lots on the tournament dates. Permit holders who are affected will receive information on where they can park during the tournaments. Affected permit holders may wish to use alternative transportation, such as carpooling or taking the bus. Full details are available at transportation.wisc.edu.
