Campus Updates Plans for Summer

Effective Monday, May 10, guidelines have been updated for students, faculty, and staff planning to access the UW–Madison campus. These guidelines address summer building access, ongoing health protocols, testing and vaccination, the campus events policy, and the travel policy. The message to the campus community has been emailed to employees and will be translated into multiple languages. Specific information for Fall Semester 2021 is still being finalized and will be shared as it become available. Additional details, including FAQs, are available at covidresponse.wisc.edu.

Resources for Employees Moving from Monthly to Biweekly Pay

All UW employees who are paid monthly will be moving to a biweekly pay schedule beginning in July. UW System is hosting the final two virtual Town Halls for employees in May. A Town Hall will be held on Thursday, May 13, 4–5 p.m., specifically for those employees who are paid over 12 months. A final Town Hall on Monday, May 17, 1–2 p.m., is an open session for all employees paid monthly. Both sessions will include time for questions and answers. Employees will have online access to the presentation videos and slides after the events. Both UW–Madison and UW System offer a variety of helpful resources for employees, including payroll calendars, frequently asked questions, a preparation checklist, personal financial tips, and more. University Dining Open for Summer

University Housing Dining will be offering meals and snacks at Four Lakes Market and Starbucks Coffee starting May 17 and running through August 14. Four Lakes Market will move from à la carte (pay for what you take) service to an All-You-Care-To-Eat (buffet style) service for all customers during summer term. You will pay for your meal upon entry to the market. Prices are $7.75 for Breakfast, $10.00 for Lunch, and $10.50 for Dinner. More information is available at housing.wisc.edu/dining/locations/.

Student Help Hiring Automation Process Launches June 1

An enhancement to the Student Jobs Platform that automates the hiring process will go live June 1, 2021. Student Help opportunities will now be able to be hired automatically to the campus hiring system (HRS) once an offer has been created and accepted through the Student Jobs Platform. The Student Employment Team will be offering Student Jobs Platform trainings and drop in-virtual office hours to assist users beginning in June. Contact student.employment@finaid.wisc.edu with any questions.
