New Policy and Resources Provide Guidance and Support for Remote Work

A revised UW–Madison Remote Work Policy will take effect on August 1, 2021. The policy details remote work options and creates procedures and practices that can mitigate the risks and liabilities of remote work. A remote work arrangement must be agreed upon by school/college/division leadership, divisional Human Resources, and the employee’s supervisor. Employees who are interested in remote work should discuss a remote work arrangement with their supervisor before initiating a Remote Work Agreement in MyUW. A checklist for completing a Remote Work Agreement, frequently asked questions and answers, and other tools and resources are available on the webpage, Remote Work: Guidance and Resources for Employees, at hr.wisc.edu/remote-work. Employees who have questions about remote work should contact the human resources department in their school, college, or division.

New App for COVID-19 Testing and More

University Health Services (UHS) is offering a new app that will help employees and students schedule COVID-19 tests, access lab test results and vaccine records, and more. The MyUHS app is free to download from the Apple and Google Play stores. The MyUHS app replaces the Safer Badgers app, which will no longer be used on campus effective Aug. 9. Your COVID-19 testing history can be accessed in the new app or on the MyUHS website. A Badger Badge will no longer be needed to access buildings, and the new app will not be used for building access. More information can be found at uhs.wisc.edu/myuhs.

Help Make UW–Madison a Drug-Free Workplace

All faculty and staff are encouraged to contribute to a drug-free workplace. You can do this by learning the facts about substance abuse, encouraging others to avoid substance abuse, and knowing where you or others can go for help with a drug or alcohol problem. The laws and expectations regarding substance abuse apply to all members of the UW–Madison campus community. You can review this information and find resources for drug and alcohol abuse prevention at go.wisc.edu/j15c7c.
