General Pay Increase for Faculty and Staff Anticipated Early Next Year

UW–Madison expects to provide a 2 percent wage increase early next year to employees under the 2021–2023 pay plan. The state’s legislative Joint Committee on Employment Relations (JCOER) still needs to formally approve the pay plan increases. The 2 percent increase is anticipated to take effect Jan. 2, 2022. However, the effective date will need to be confirmed once the pay plan is formally approved by the JCOER. Employees who are receiving the pay increase will receive a written communication informing them of their new pay rate, when that pay rate becomes effective, and when the increase will be reflected on their paycheck. Academic Staff, Faculty, Limited, and University Staff are eligible to receive the pay plan increase. Certain eligibility criteria apply

UWPD Launches Data Dashboard with a Focus on Racial Equity

The UW–Madison Police Department (UWPD) has launched an Equity Dashboard that promotes transparency and provides a set of success measures that speak directly to the UWPD’s commitment to equity in policing. On the Equity Dashboard, users can view UWPD calls for service, arrests, citations, use of force, and more. Users can also view complaint data – including the total number of complaints, how the complaints were resolved, how many complaints involved use of force, and the number of officers with multiple sustained complaints. The dashboard also provides general information about programs and services offered by the UWPD. The Equity Dashboard can be found at go.wisc.edu/uwpddashboard.
