COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination Summer Update

COVID-19 testing and vaccinations are available at no cost to current students and employees throughout the summer. Antigen test kits are available on the ground floor of 333 Campus Mall Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (closed for lunch from noon–1 p.m.) and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students and employees must show their Wiscard and are eligible for one antigen test kit per week. PCR testing is conducted on the ground floor of 333 East Campus Mall, by appointment through the MyUHS app or the MyUHS web portal. University Health Services continues to offer free vaccination, including first and second booster shots, on campus by appointment. Vaccination is also available at a number of community locations. Summer Dining Hours on Campus

Summer hours are in effect at the dining locations operated by University Housing. Four Lakes Market is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days per week. The Bean & Creamery at Four Lakes is open 7 a.m.–2 p.m. daily, and the Flamingo Run convenience store is open 10 a.m.–7 p.m. daily. The Flamingo Run store at Gordon Avenue Market is open 10 a.m.–7 p.m. seven days per week. The Starbucks at Smith Residence Hall is open daily 7 a.m.–2 p.m. All other dining facilities, including Carson’s Market, Liz’s Market, Gordon Avenue Market, and Rheta’s Market, are serving summer conference groups and will have intermittent schedules until the 2022–23 academic year begins.

Resources for Retirement

The UW–Madison Retirement Association (UWRA) offers diverse activities and resources to all current or retired employees of UW–Madison and other affiliated UW entities. Member benefits include social events, travel opportunities, a monthly newsletter, and programs on topics such as personal finances, health and wellness, and technology. An annual membership is $20 for those who are retired and living in zip codes beginning with 535, 537, and 539. Reduced rates are available for multi-year memberships, lifetime memberships, those in “out of area” zip codes, and those not yet retired. For more information, visit uwramadison.org.

Lunchtime Wellness in the Gardens

Allen Centennial Gardens is hosting weekly Lunchtime Wellness activities on Thursdays from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. throughout the summer. Sessions will offer hands-on activities with plants, wellness exercises such as yoga or meditation, and other ways to enjoy the gardens. There is no cost to participate.
