Update on 2022–23 parking applications and offers

Parking offer assignment letters will be emailed late this week to those who submitted a 2022–23 parking application before June 10. Offers will also be listed in the eBusiness portal at transportation.wisc.edu/ebusiness. If you do not receive an offer, you will be placed on a waiting list for future rounds. Those who want to accept and purchase their offers must do so by August 2. The second 2022–23 parking application period is scheduled for July 21–August 2 and another round of parking offers will be emailed August 3–4. A third application and offer round will occur in late August. Employee bus passes, afternoon, night, moped, and motorcycle permits for 2022–23 go on sale August 1; there is no application process for these products. The Discussion Project Accepting Applications for New Courses

The Discussion Project is a professional development series designed to strengthen UW–Madison’s capacity to create welcoming, engaging, and academically rigorous classroom environments by better engaging students in classroom discussions. Applications are now open for The Discussion Project’s in-person courses starting in August 2022 and January 2023. This three-day professional learning opportunity focuses on developing skills in leading high-quality small- and large-group discussion in undergraduate and graduate classrooms. The course is free and open to all UW–Madison instructors, including faculty, academic staff, and graduate students.

Help Build UW–Madison’s IT Community

The IT (Information Technology) Professionals Steering Committee is being reinvigorated and is looking for new members. IT Professionals is an organized group of self-identified IT and IT-adjacent members of the UW–Madison community seeking to foster an inclusive and equitable community that enables resources sharing, learning, and connection. Steering committee members have the opportunity to help shape events, find ways to build connections, collaborate and provide ideas for knowledge sharing, facilitate the annual IT awards committee, liaise and ensure success of the IT Professionals Conference Committee, and help connect new hires to the IT community on campus.
