In Workday, legal holiday hours will appear in your time off balance as they are earned. Legal holiday hours are earned on the day of the holiday for eligible employees, and will not appear in your time off balance in Workday in advance. As a result, you may see a zero balance for legal holidays in your time off balance.

Eligible employees may use up to two days of legal holiday hours in advance of having earned those hours. This option may be used for legal holidays when an employee is scheduled to work, legal holidays that are part of an employee’s normal scheduled time off, or floating holidays.
