Fully Prepared to Lead is a competency-based professional development program available to UWMadison employees at no cost. Participants can choose the courses that work best for them, or can choose to complete the Certificate of Leadership Competency. Leadership is demonstrated in actions and behaviors, not in one’s position or authority. The courses focus on what individuals can control to influence positive changes in their work environment. Courses upcoming in August include Coaching and Developing Others (virtual), Modes of Conflict Management (classroom), Giving and Receiving Constructive Feedback (virtual), and others. Advance registration is required. The program is offered by Learning and Talent Development.
