As a UW–Madison employee, you may be eligible for personal discounts from a wide variety of organizations. The resources listed below may change without notice and are available at the discretion of the organization. These are privileges, not rights. Please be gracious if a you are told a deal is not available.

Travel

  • Madison Metro – discounted bus pass
  • Lifestyle Benefits Program – travel assistance, legal, financial, and grief services, beneficiary financial counseling and legacy planning services
  • Parking and Transit Accounts – pay certain work-related parking and transit expenses with tax-free dollars
  • Car Rentals – Please refer to the Universities of Wisconsin personal use contracts page to view available personal use discounts and booking links. Enterprise/National offers personal use rates negotiated under the Big10 Contract. As of September 23, 2023, Enterprise and National will no longer offer fixed discounted rates for personal travel. A percentage discount will be offered. Hertz offers personal use rates at the same rate as business contract rates.

Food

UW–Madison employees can receive a 5% discount when using their Wiscard account to purchase food at the Babcock Hall Dairy Store and all University Housing and Wisconsin Union dining locations.

Recreation

RecWell offers discounted memberships to UW–Madison faculty and staff. These Campus Affiliate memberships provide access to recreation facilities and fitness programs.

Health/Wellness

Many insurance providers offer discounts or reimbursements to UW employees on the State health plan for things such as gym memberships, sports clubs, classes, complementary medicine, athletic shoes, CSA food shares, and more. Check with your insurance provider for details.
