  • New tech is now more affordable

    Getting new tech is easier than ever before, thanks to a new benefit for current faculty and staff. Now you can shop for yourself, your family and your friends at the DoIT Tech Store and pay with a new option known as Payroll Deduction.

    This no-interest payment plan allows you to pay off your purchase in six or 12 months, via monthly deductions from your paycheck. Eligible employees just need to spend $400 or more and provide a 10 percent down payment at time of purchase to use Payroll Deduction. There is a nominal processing fee of $25.

  • Work better, live better at the Wellness Symposium

    Register now for the second annual UW-Madison Wellness Symposium on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Union South.

    The theme is Wellness Now: Being Our Best Selves in the Current Moment. Sessions cover everything from managing stress and eating healthily to creating a desk garden.

  • UW-Madison wins Love to Ride Madison competition

    UW-Madison took top honors in in a citywide program designed to encourage bicycling. Love to Ride Madison ran from Sept. 12 to Oct. 7 this year. Madisonians from 74 different organizations signed up. UW-Madison finished 1st and UW Health finished 5th in the largest employee size category (500+ staff). Individual UW-Madison departments also competed favorably. The Limnology Department won its category (20-49 staff), followed by the UW Center for Tobacco Research & Intervention (3rd), and UW’s Morgridge Center for Public Service (4th).

  • Candidates sought for campus committees

    Each year the Academic Staff Nominating Committee seeks candidates to serve on more than 40 campus committees.   • eBenefits provides online benefits enrollment

    UW-Madison is launching eBenefits, a new secure online benefits enrollment process, for the 2017 Annual Benefits Enrollment period Oct. 17 to Nov. 11. By using the automated eBenefits enrollment tool, employees will receive a confirmation statement of their benefit elections and will experience convenient, flexible and time-saving enrollments using paperless technology. Access is through the MyUW portal and is available anywhere there is an Internet connection.

  • UW-Madison transitions to new jobs website

    On Monday, Oct. 10, UW-Madison launched a new employment website, jobs.wisc.edu, offering a fresh look at postings for job applicants and a new system for those managing recruitment and selection. The Talent Recruitment and Engagement Management System (TREMS) was chosen after a thorough study of campus needs. The UW-Madison Office of Human Resources will transition from its former site, JobApply (uwjobapply.wisc.edu), to the new site.

  • The do’s & don’ts of Interdepartmental (Campus) Mail

    Interdepartmental Mail, also known as Campus Mail, is a service that specializes in delivering mail to buildings on campus. It’s best known for delivering those brown envelopes with the string ties. Envelopes can be filled with a variety of materials – please, no breakables or non-work-related items. It’s not associated with the U.S. Post Office, so Interdepartmental Mail does not require postage. The Campus Mailroom receives thousands of pieces of mail each month so it’s important to accurately address and organize outgoing mail.
