TSA 403(B) Basics: August 10
Are you on track saving for your future? This workshop is intended for new investors and those not yet in the UW Tax-Sheltered Annuity 403(b) Program and it will help you understand the basics of investing and what to look for when you choose your investments. Carla Perez named bursar at UW-Madison
Carla Perez, director of student accounts and university cashier at Rice University, has been named bursar at UW–Madison. Perez has more than 25 years of experience managing tuition and fees cashiering operations, student accounts and student loan services. She succeeds interim bursar Laura Rader.

New Collaborative Learning Classrooms Unveiled
Facilities Planning and Management staff is currently working with the Educational Innovations Committee to provide optimal teaching and learning environments for university faculty and staff through Collaborative Learning Classrooms (CLC). CLCs are available for instruction. Each CLC has teaching and learning pods (large tables with moveable seating). Newly remodeled CLC general assignment classrooms unveiled this summer are found in Ingraham Hall, Educational Sciences and Sterling Hall.

Recruiting Student Employees
The Campus-wide Student Job Fair, Monday, September 12, is a great place to recruit new student employees. The Fair, open to both UW students and non-UW students is free to attend and to present. You will need to staff your own table and bring any materials you would like to provide to students. UW Housing will provide covered table(s) with a sign and two chairs per table. If you would like a presence at the fair, please RSVP by Monday, August 15 by completing this brief Qualtrics Survey. Registrations after August 15 will not be included in advertising materials. Onsite Wellness Assessments: Aug 3
Are you an employee carrying health insurance through UW-Madison that is being administered by ETF? Consider participating in the Well Wisconsin program to qualify for a $150 (taxable) reward from your health insurer. West Campus Construction
Construction on the near west part of campus has begun so expect increased traffic in the area, including the Observatory Drive, Walnut Drive, and McClimon Track areas. Work includes upgrading the fields to a permeable synthetic turf system for outdoor programs, including intramural sports, sports clubs and special events. It will include a large amount of earth and rock work to prep the site for the turf installation. The project also includes upgrades to lighting, scoreboards, new fencing, backstops for softball and baseball, and new access to the fields. The project is expected to be completed in November 2016.

Academic Staff Executive Committee Elects New Chair and Vice Chair
Kevin Niemi and Bruno Browning have been elected as vice chair of the Academic Staff Executive Committee (ASEC) for a one-year term starting July 1. Kevin Niemi is director of outreach programs in WISCIENCE (Wisconsin Institute for Science Education and Community Engagement) and has served on ASEC since July of 2013. Bruno Browning is chief information officer for the College of Letters & Science. He has served on ASEC since July of 2014.

Email Addresses Compromised
The Office of Cybersecurity has received a confirmed report of compromised credentials associated with LinkedIn, Tumblr and Myspace. These accounts had email addresses used as the Login ID and included addresses containing the “wisc.edu” domain, which could potentially expose personal and university data. The Office of Cybersecurity is notifying individuals directly if their account was compromised. If notified, you will need to change your NetID immediately. Protect your personal identity and the security of the campus network.
